Alumni Interviews |
Immediately after leaving school in 2011, Ally headed off to Bristol University to study French and Italian Culture, History, Politics and Language. With a passion for the food industry and, having had part-time work in Daylesford Organic Farm Shop, Ally landed her first role in product development. This job involved working with UK and European retailers to take products from conception to launch.
From there, Ally continued to work in the food industry, and 2018 successfully secured the role of Innovation Manager at Kinnerton Confectionery. She currently works in innovation as part of the company’s M&S Team on new product ideas for chocolate bars and treats bags.
Her languages still come in useful, mainly if she communicates with European retailers and customers. Having had the experience of the supplier side of the business, looking to the future, Ally hopes to further her career with a role within a retailer or focusing on branded products.
